David Anglada-Figueroa

Dr. David Anglada-Figueroa obtained his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Ponce School of Medicine. He was the Director of Mental Health Services for Santa Rosa Community Health Centers where he provided psychotherapy services and conducted trainings for the clinic’s medical and mental health staff. He has been a contract trainer for the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P America) since 2009, a spokesperson for Sonoma County First Five, and performs psychological evaluations with children who have intellectual, behavioral, or emotional difficulties at Parents Place. He has worked with several other agencies providing psychotherapeutic services for families, adults, and children (including children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect). David regularly conducts classes, groups, and presentations for agencies, universities, and events on topics related to parenting, couples’ counseling, integrated behavioral health, neuropsychology, neuroscience, and many other mental health topics. Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist, David performed several years of neuroscience research in the area of fear extinction and has published his research in The Journal of Neuroscience.
